The Ultimate Question
Every person, throughout time, has pondered many deep, spiritual questions, like, “What happens when I die?,” or “Where will I spend eternity?"
The greatest answer, that one could ever learn for himself, is this: "if I were to die today, would I go to Heaven to be with God?"
The Bible reveals the answer to this very challenging question.
You can know!
God wants you to know, with complete confidence, that you have an eternal home in Heaven, when you leave this life.
In 1 John 5:13, God said: "these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life..."
Sin is Universal
One must recognize that every person, including one's self, is a sinner.
The only perfect person who ever lived, was God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:10 “As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.”
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 5:12 “Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
Sin Carries a Penalty
Because God is holy, He cannot permit sin to be in harmony, or fellowship, with Him. Sin makes man and God irreconcilable.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Ezekiel 18:20 “The soul that sinneth, it shall die….”
Revelation 20:14 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
The words second death in this verse means “Hell.”
Religion, good deeds, or best efforts cannot reconcile God and man.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us..."
It is only through Jesus Christ, and His atonement for man's sins on the cross, that one can have eternal life.
God loves you, and wants you to know Him,
so He provided a way of salvation through Jesus' sacrificial death and resurrection.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
