We hope you'll come see us soon, we'd love to meet you!
When you visit with us, you'll first be greeted by friendly people who'll welcome you and make you feel right at home. They'll be sure you know where to go and what to do.
Visiting a new church can sometimes be intimidating. To help you feel at ease, here are answers to some common questions people often have.
What are your services like?
You'll find our services to be inspiring and uplifting. Your heart will be stirred through the beautiful, worshipful singing. You'll likely recognize the hymns we sing and enjoy singing along as we offer praise to Christ.
The preaching will be Bible-based, powerful and practical. Following the message, a time of invitation is given where individuals may make spiritual decisions or pray. During this time, we can privately assist you with prayer needs or spiritual questions you might have.
Will I have to do or say anything publicly?
No. As our guest, you'll never be made to feel awkward or uncomfortable. Our people will be kind and friendly to you on a personal level.
Is there anything for my kids?
LBC's ministries are designed for the entire family. Nursery facilities are available for your baby, while school age children have Sunday School classes designed for their age and comprehension level. Sunday morning children's worship provides a fun venue for children to develop spiritually into sincere worshippers. Wednesday evening Awana clubs offer even more opportunities for kids to know Christ and grow in His grace.
What kind of Bible should I bring?
At LBC, we exclusively use the King James Version in all of our preaching, teaching, and resource material. You'll find it easiest to follow along using this translation.
Am I expected to contribute?
We do have a time of worshiping God through our tithes and offerings, where offering plates will be passed around, but no one is pressured to give. We trust God will lead you in this matter.
How should I dress?
If you are coming to visit, please dress however you feel comfortable and with whatever wardrobe you already have. You will always be treated politely, with dignity and respect. Our ministry leaders and many in our church family dress in more traditional, formal ‘church’ clothes; however, our desire is that everyone feels welcome.
What about membership?
As a biblical, local church, membership is encouraged for all those who have been saved by God's grace, baptized by immersion, and have elected to covenant together with us in Christian fellowship. Membership with LBC provides the scriptural privileges of obedience to God, accountability, a place of service, and spiritual growth. If you are interested in membership, please let us know, we'd be pleased to talk to you further about it.
