On January, 23, 2022, Sean Kelly accepted the unanimous call to pastor Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Pastor Kelly was reared in a Christian home. His mother was converted Jewish lady, with an amazing salvation testimony. Her story was recorded for the international radio program, “Unshackled.”
Sean grew up in church, spending his early years as a "bus kid" along with his brothers and mother.
At the age of 10, he trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior. A few years later, when he was 15, at youth camp, God called him to preach. Following high school, Pastor served in the U.S. Navy and then attended Bible college. Bro. Kelly has studied at Trinity Baptist College and Virginia Baptist College and has earned Th.B. and Th.M. degrees and has been ordained for the Gospel Ministry.
In the mid 1990's He began to serve in full time Christian service, teaching in a Christian school. Over the years he's served in various roles and capacities from school teacher to staff pastor and then as a missionary and senior pastor.
Our pastor's wife, Anita, grew up in a preacher's home. Her father, Dr. Jeff Alverson, pastored both in the States as well as on the mission field. He presently serves as the International Representative for Military Ministries at Baptist International Missions, Inc.
Anita was saved as a teenager, and soon dedicated her life to marrying a preacher. She is a graduate of Crown College and has served God as a missionary school teacher in Europe, as well as teaching in some of America's premiere Christian schools. The Lord has blessed Sean & Anita with 4 wonderful sons.
